LAS VEGAS (AP) - The American Gaming Association has elected Boyd Gaming Corp. CEO Keith Smith as its next chairman.
The industry group for commercial casinos says Smith will replace T.J. Matthews, the former chairman of International Game Technology.
Smith first joined the association's board in 2007. He was its vice chairman last year.
The association said Smith's election came at the group's annual meeting in December.
