The daily fantasy sports market will double by 2021 to $5.3 billion, according to research published by U.K.-based Juniper Research. The market is currently worth $2.6 billion.
The research came just days after DraftKings and FanDuel, two companies with more than 90 percent of the market , agreed to merge. There were rumors of a merger for several months before a deal was announced. According to Juniper, the closest rival to the combined company is Yahoo.
